Warranty & Delivery Terms

General

a) We grant 12 months warranty on complete barrow conversion kits and complete barrows only. Use of aftermarket components or batteries such as lead acid void warranty or will not be warranted. Modification including removal or chopping of any wires or plugs from how the product was supplied will void warranty. Only ultimate consumers are considered customers according to our warranty terms and conditions. A consumer is a natural person who enters a legally binding contract for purposes of own use.

b) All our customer's other legal rights (e.g., warranty rights) exist alongside our warranty and are not affected by it in any way.

3.      Warranty Period

The warranty period comprises of 12 months starting on the day of delivery of the product to the customer. This only applies to products supplied with warranty (See 1a for reference)

4.      Warranty Scope

We warrant the barrow conversion kits (complete) for 12 months, this covers any fabricated part such as failure of material or weld, failure of any electrical component (Ecu, Wheel etc) This only applies to full conversion kits where batteries are supplied by ourselves. Any use of lead acid batteries will void all of the above. Batteries are covered for 12 months, these are perishable and must be maintained as per our instructions supplied with the product, failure to do so will void warranty (at our discression).

Items such as tyres are not warranted in the case of a puncture, any wiring if modifications have been made or tampering such as the fuse.

when the product is delivered, the consumer has 7 days in which to report any defects. Only the Barrow conversion kit will be collected by UK Barrow conversions. Any other items are to be returned to us within 7 days of notification of a fault.

5.      Limitations of Liability

a) The warranty only applies to first customers and is non-transferable. The first customer is the customer who acquired the boat first as an end consumer. The warranty terminates the moment that the boat ownership is transferred from the initial end consumer to a third person.

b) The warranty does not cover intentionally or unintentionally caused damage, usual wear, improper use nor parts and components subject to wear and tear, e.g., Tyres. Accidental damage is not covered under warranty.

c) Please ensure to make yourself familiar with the information provided in our user manual. We assume you to be familiar with all information concerning the use of the delivered components.

d) In the event of a warranty issue after the first 7 days it is the customers responsibility to ship the conversion kit to us, but we cover parts, labour and returns postage under the warranty

e) The customer has 14 days on conversion kits in which to change their mind from the day after delivery. The conversion kit and everything that was originally supplied (including all packaging) is to be returned to us at your expense. The items must not have been used and be returned in the brand new condition as supplied. Any items that have been used, missing or damaged will be subject to a nominal fee that we see fit deducted from your refund. We do not accept returns on items such as chargers, cables and any other accessories that does not contain a serial number.

f) In the event you refuse work being done under warranty and request a refund for the item. We will only refund 50% of the purchase price. This is dependent on the condition of the products returned to us. Any refund for the returned item will be less the original postage cost paid. The items must all be returned in the original packaging and it will be at your expense.

G) Any payment made using online card must be delivered to the confirmed delivery address that is on the card. Any delivery that is to a different address must be paid over the phone via card payment on 01789766777 along with your order number.

6.      Premature Warranty Expiration

The warranty terminates early in case:

a) the conversion kit is subject to modifications and/or repair attempts without our written consent. This includes the single-handed insertion of components and/ or Plugs/Connectors/Lights, Switches or any refurbishments or opening of the ecu or motor. Use of aftermarket equipment, such as lead acid batteries, headlights, additional wiring and any other none UK Barrow conversions products that can cause unnecessary damage.

b) batteries and/or charging devices not distributed by us or otherwise authorised are being used. 

c) defects and malfunctions are caused by improper use or lack of maintenance. The user manual delivered with the product must be kept in mind and followed!

d) the wheel and tyre should be kept clean, Failure to do so can cause a collection of mud and dirt that can jam the wheel and can cause the motor to burn out.

Charging of the batteries must be taken out of the box, the box is not ventilated so is not safe for charging of the batteries. In the case of charging instructions being disregarded, the warranty terminates, and no warranty claims can be made.

e) Barrow damages that occur due to over loaded in weight (100kgs) or force majeure.

f) If a fault is found you must stop use immediately and inform us of the problem. If you keep using the product after the fault is found you may cause further faults or damage. Using after the fault is found will result in the warranty being void. 

7.      Assertion

a) We strongly recommend you clarify whether you can enforce warranty rights and that there is a fault before shipping your conversion kit to us since we offer a free shipment service throughout the United Kingdom for the first 7 days, excluding Ireland as part of our warranty. Therefore, we will choose to either send you a shipping label or arrange pick up for your conversion kit. Free Pickup/Retour/shipment is not available for purposes of upgrades by our authorised repairer. In this case, the customer must pay for shipment. Please make sure all components are sent with the conversion kit as any items not returned will be charged for. In the event of it not being a genuine fault, the consumer will be charged for the shipping cost and a further £45 charge for the engineers time.

b) The customer is to attach the invoice, the customers address (address, if different from the billing address, phone number and e-mail, if applicable) and a description of the defects. If the above are not adhered to we may not be able to identify and return your conversion kit.

c) In a warranty case we will choose to fix the defect, replace the conversion kit or refund the purchase price. We cover potential shipment costs.

d) If we are dealing with a damage not covered by the warranty, we will inform the customer and provide a quote for the repair costs if applicable. It is our right to charge for the provided service as part of the examination.

e) Please make sure that you or a person of trust is at home for the delivery. It is a none contact delivery by the courier. You will recieve a series of text messages regarding your delivery. If you change the destination of your shipment, it is at your own risk as changing it at such a late time may result in parcel loss. As it is a none contact delivery, the driver may leave the conversion kit on your property. This is considered delivered and then becomes your responsibility. In the event of this happening, we will not claim for the parcel if it is stolen

F) In the event of the product being returned out of the 14 day statutory period for a refund. UK Barrow conversions reserve the right to deduct an amount for any items missing and deterioration of the products whilst in your hands. This amount is determined upon receipt of the boat being returned.

G) upon receiving your conversion kit, The batteries must be charged before use. Failure to do so may damage the battery by draining to a point where it can no longer be able to charge..

H) In the event you encounter an issue, you must contact us straight away either by email, private message on UK Barrow conversions business page on Facebook. Commenting on videos or posts in order to get attention will not be recognised as a means of speaking to us. If you choose not to get in contact and decide to take to social media to slander us instead, UK Barrow conversions reserves the right to request the collection of the goods. This would terminate any agreement between the customer and us. Any refusal will possibly result in the warranty being revoked if we find that any of the warranty terms and conditions have been broken.

8.   Competitions

 We do not give permission for any competition pages to raffle off our products. Any competitions that do offer a product of UK Barrow conversions, no warranty will be given to the recipient or the person connected with the company/page purchasing. 

9.  Delivery

It is the customers responsibility to make sure they are available for the delivery. The courier can leave the item purchased in a safe place, doorstep or neighbour if there is no one at home. The delivery can be changed once on the courier email to you. It is your responsibility to make sure that the place you change delivery to can accept large parcels as many shops will reject due to the size. UK Barrow conversions will not liaise with the courier in order to sort this out for you. To recap - if you change the destination of your shipment, It is done so at your own risk. Changing at such a late time may result in parcel loss. As it is a none contact delivery and a picture is the signature, the driver may leave the parcel on your property and this is considered delivered and becomes your sole responsibility. In the event of this happening UK Barrow conversions will not claim for the parcel in the event of theft.

Any issues regarding delivery would be fully investigated and no refunds will be given until the process is complete and you are found not to have the item in your possession and you are not at fault for the delivery discrepancy.

There is fair warning this may happen. These terms and conditions are read and agreed to upon purchase and you also agree to the delivery statement before purchase. Please be aware before you order that the above can happen.

UK Barrow conversions reserves the right to revoke any warranty and terminate any contract between anyone who purchases a product and attempts to or commits an act of fraud against us.

if the item is returned to UK Barrow conversions there will be a handling charge of £20 in order to resend the item to yourself.

10.      Final Provisions

a) Only repairs and any alterations/ upgrades performed by ourselves will be covered and warranted.

b) This warranty is subject to Uk law only.

c) UK Barrow conversions reserves the rights to revoke warranty given at any time.

 UK Barrow conversions reserve the right to change or update these terms and conditions at any time.
